The First Western Regional Workshop on Green Campus organized by AICTE and IIWM was conducted at D Y Patil University School of Medicine, Navi Mumbai on 3rd November. A. Jayakumar, Secretary General, Vijnana Bharati was the Chief Guest and Dr. Pramod Varma, Vice Chancellor, Barkatullah University was the Guest of Honor for the workshop. The other dignitaries who were present for the workshop are Dr. Vijay D. Patil, President, D Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai; Dr. Amit Dutta, Regional Officer, AICTE; Ms. Bineesha P, Executive Director, IIWM and Mr. Jaikrishnan G, Director, KPMG. The workshop was inaugurated with lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries present and was preceded by talks of Ms. P. Bineesha, who spoke on the Green Campus Initiative and Mr. Jaikrishnan G, who spoke on the Green Campus Implementation Plan. Introduction to the Green Campus Team and spot registrations for the institutions to the Green Campus Initiative were also carried out in the workshop. The workshop concluded by an interactive question and answer session between the participants and the Green Campus team, where the delegates could clarify their doubts regarding Green Campus.
